Game had published two full expansions and some battlepacks to it, although I didn't bought them yet. Because it's great to strategy rpg games play with my friends using the same cards. And we are playing a couple of times per month, so there is no great need.
Well, game is as I see it just extremely high quality and really worth of cash. It's able to give you more enjoyment than most of current computer/consoles games. Is actually hardly get boring, unless you are playing too much in it. And even if there is a chance that you will get bored, you can try fighting using different race. Welcome! As you probably know, The Dark Templar as a soldier archetype is one of three tank classes in Age of Conan. He uses dark magic and poison to devour and kill his enemies. And he uses auras and spells to boost the power of his team friends. DT can sacrifice a bit of his own health to heal his fellow friends.
One key ability of the Dark Templar are his lifeleeches. There are many buffs, combos and feats which enhances his powerful lifedrain. On lvl 80 fully buffed, a Dark Templar will get to about 25% lifedrain.
The DT uses Auras, which are a group wide buffs, covenants which are only personal buffs and spells. He can only have one aura and one covenant active at any time.
He has some very handy Crowd Control abilities at his disposal. But that’s one of his problems too. All the Crowd Control lays in his feat trees. This means he won’t have crowd control if he doesn’t feat it. This makes a DT very weak in the early game to pvp with.
The DT is a soldier archetype. He will get Frenzy Stance and Defensive Stance at about lvl 15. The DT will get a charge ability at about lvl 18.
Armour: Light Armour – LvL Req: 1 Medium armour – LvL Req: 1 Heavy Armour LvL Req: 30
Spells / Auras * leech life: buffs yourself with a lifeleech buff. * A soul for our feast: This is another lifeleech combo, but it will provide the lifeleech buff to the whole group. * Blood for Aid: Debuffs the enemy with a armor penetrating debuff.
Combos * Mystical Bane: Does a bit of mana damage to the enemy. * Aura of Dread Fury: Your hits and the whole party melee hits will do a passive amount of unholy damage which is added to the weapon damage. * Drain Life: You place a Lifetap Buff on yourself. * Martyrdom: Damages yourself and places a HoT effect on your team and yourself.
Covenants * Covenant of War: If you get hit there is a chance that you will gain a minor damage shield and a minor damage reflection shield. * Covenant of Pestilence: If you get hit there is a chance that a aoe damage effect procs. * Covenant of Vengeance: All your melee hits have a chance that covenant of vengeance procs. * Covenant of Invulnerability. This Covenant is similar to soul barrier. When it procs, it absorbs damage and converts a part of the damage into mana damage.
Age of Conan will be something different from other MMORPG ( Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game ), because now we have total control under our character. We can target anything, during the combat and hit it. For the example we can hit our enemies in head and hurt them badly :-) every single arrow from your bow or crossbow, will be now under your aim. This combat system is called - Real Combat. Now to evade attack we must evade it for real. What is really really cool now we can beat someone above our level if we are enough skilled. So no more power leveling or something like that. Now every raid or PvP will be full of surprises and everything can happen.
Anyway in Age of Conan in PvP there will be something called "Blood Money". You can obtain this special type money after you beat someone in PvP, then you are able to obtain very powerful equipment and gain extra powers. Is that bad? I just love to be full of might and I will crush anyone, who will stand on my way.
Each time you beat someone you will earn some amount but this can be very hard because even if you are few level higher then other player, it isn't quite sure you win. Everything is up to you know. Remember that.
If you are lucky you can kill most terrifying monsters in game, for the example when you hit one in eye, or in other point – cool huh? I hope that what devs are saying is true.
Hello guys, we are have waited long time to premiere of Age of Conan MMORPG. Well game is really awesome and most of players are really amazed by great graphics and very cool music. But in the other hand all of them are really disappointed by very high level of bugs, that's why many of them resigned and get back to World of Warcraft or are waiting for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. Age of Conan is still one of the most popular game but producers must work more under this game and maybe someday game will be more attractive to play online. Personally im waiting for Age of Conan game trial but is currently unavailable.
How much time we need to wait for trail version? i dunno why they are waiting so much time to release it..well probably they gonna release trial version only in if Age of Conan will be more interesting. I also hope, that it won't be needed to download 30-40 gigabytes of game. It's just so huge, that I am really feared about this case.
Looking on screenshots game looks just great. You know, all that DirectX 10 stuff and all. For example water looks just amazing – if you have played in Crysis, you know I mean.
As I mentioned before, I am going to create a Cymmerian Conan-like barbarian. Obviously, I will also show on my server everyone, that I am the strongest out there. I want additionally big two-handed sword and leather armor.
add something about system recommendation to play in Age of Conan. For know its highest system requirements for MMORPG ever. You need computer with processor 2,4 Ghz, 2 GB of Ram and card around 512 Mb. Well, It's a lot for a MMORPG. And I bet, that on low details game is going to look ugly and it will be worth, to upgrade a computer just for better visual experiences. We are talking about DirectX10 game, so you know, it will be look just terrifying. Imagine lands of Hyboria in maximized settings – yummy. I really should think about computer upgrade, or I won't be able to enjoy Age of Conan fully. And I don't want that.
After news that game will be later, we've got some time to upgrade our computers ;-)
oh i didn't said about that...anyway...game will be released in 20th May 2008 ( earlier they wanted to release AoC in March - or something like that ). I hope there won't be any delays, because I want to get Age of Conan as fast as it is possible. That's natural, I suppose. I am waiting for this game for a long time, really.
There are many problems in game so they have to do this. Great numbers of errors and bugs are main problem of Funcom during beta-testing. I really want, that game will be as much bugless as it is possible. Bugs can easily destroy a lot part of community. Funcom, will you be so nice and give Age of Conan a lot of caress? I really would like to.
